"Now is the time to buy an E-type," says Jaguar guru Philip Porter.
Porter, the author of 15 books on Jaguar and the driving force behind the International Jaguar E-type Club, believes that all the publicity surrounding the 50th anniversary celebrations in 2011 will drive up prices.
“Icon is an over-used word but it really does apply to the E-type. Next year we will be celebrating the E-type's 50th and this will inevitably raise the car's profile. So, this is the time to buy before it all happens in 2011. Plus there is the added bonus that owners will be able to take part in all our worldwide events.”
The stunning E-type is everyone's dream car. In every survey over the years it has been voted the most beautiful car, the sexiest car and people's favourite car.
